Usage of the various TDC / PDC Sites, Blogs, Twitters and Facebook!!!

To avoid confusion with us moving into the 21st century and now having 2 Facebook pages, Twittering and a Blog as well as our own Websites!! We are issuing these guidlines to our Pro members to try to ensure some continuity of information on the various mediums!!

TDC / PDC WEBSITES

  • A base for information about TDC/PDC
  • Factual Information on our activities.
  • Course information
  • Dive Site information
  • A focus for Members.
  • Diving, Course and event Schedules, times, dates, locations etc.
  • Photo’s posted by members

TDC / PDC Blogs, these are currently hosted on our websites.

  • Blogs are to provide a method for the Centre and its pro members to write full articles that present a view on an item or perhaps report on an event, in addition to other website news articles. These are currently not interactive.
  • Views of TDC/PDC
  • Reviewing new pieces of kit
  • Events within the dive world

FACEBOOK

  • Posts by the Centres should prompt users to access our website to get the information they are looking for rather than giving specific details... ‘we have lots of diving planned out of both the Teignmouth and Plymouth centre for the coming weekend. Follow this link for information...’ ...and they’ll be directed to the relevent page on the website.
  • The Wall is to be used to allow "friends" to view what we are doing within the abve parameters.
  • Discussions/forums will be initiated by the administrators and accessed by users posting their opinions, thoughts etc.

TWITTER

  • The main purpose of Twitter is to post small bullet points of what we are doing on a regular daily basis. Twitter is very short and real time.
  • Tweets can be emailed to Mark as a .txt file and with a carriage return between each tweet and we can arrange for them to be posted.

This is by no means an exhasustive policy and needs to be refined but we hope that you will all participate actively in these WWW areas and keep us posted on the thoughts etc.
