The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course (Often referred to as the PADI Advanced) is the next stage for most PADI Open Water Divers.

Once qualified you will be able to dive to a maximum depth of 30m (Or the deepest depth you achieve during your course), and builds on your navigation skills, as well as other experiences, such as Night Diving, Drift Diving, Wreck Diving, etc.

When you sign up for the course, you'll have some independent study to do at home, followed by two theory sessions (normally run on a weekday evening) where we run through your Knowledge Reviews, and practice compass use in more detail, torch signals, how to use a lift bag, and more. Once these sessions are completed, you'll join us for five sea dives - two will be Deep and Navigation, and the other three will be a choice of boat, wreck, drift, night, or search and recovery. At least three will be from our boat, Seaquest, visiting varied dive sites.

As ever at Teign Diving Centre, we have a variety of options that reflect the flexible nature of all PADI training courses.  

This course includes one of our our highly praised voucher booklets that encourages you to continue diving by offering great discounts on specialist diving equipment and further training.

Because Teign Diving Centre has its own boat, we conduct most of the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course Dives from the boat and we finish the course with a Deep dive on one of our offshore wrecks like the Bretagne, Peronne, Emsstrom, or Boma.
