Fort Bovisand is located just inside the Breakwater. The seabed around the fort itself is comprised mainly of mud with a variety of both ancient and modern debris of all shapes and sizes. To both the west and east of the fort there are a number of rocky outcrops. It is important to remember the visibility can deteriorate quickly if the bottom is disturbed too much.
